Policy
Vehicle sales terms
These terms apply when you buy a vehicle from SOB Auto Exchange, the vehicle sales service of SOB Autofix Limited (company number 16182532), Cumbrae, Station Road, Norton, Doncaster DN6 9HF.
The vehicle
Each listing shows what we know about the car: its condition, known faults, inspection notes and any work done before sale. Anything we have not checked is marked "Not confirmed". Please read the listing and view the car before you buy.
Price
The advertised price is the price you pay. We do not add admin or preparation fees.
Your legal rights
You are buying as a consumer, so the Consumer Rights Act 2015 applies. The car must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described, taking into account its age, mileage and price.
- If there is a fault within 30 days, you can reject the car for a refund.
- After 30 days, you can ask us to repair it. If a repair does not fix it, you can ask for a price reduction or reject the car.
- Within six months, a fault is presumed to have been there when you bought the car unless we can show otherwise.
These rights do not cover faults we told you about before you bought, normal wear and tear, or damage after you took the car away.
Repair projects
Cars listed as repair projects are sold with the faults shown on the listing and priced to reflect them. Your legal rights still apply to anything we did not tell you about.
Buying without visiting
If we agree the sale without you visiting us in person, you may have 14 days to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. We will tell you if this applies.
Payment and ownership
The car stays with us until we have received full payment. It becomes yours when payment has cleared. We do not take payment through the website.
Part exchange
If you part exchange a car, its value is agreed after we inspect it. You must own it, tell us about any outstanding finance and give us the V5C logbook.
